RAILWAY GALA WEEKEND
12/13 July 2008
Our annual Railway Gala and Model Railway Exhibition will take place over the weekend of 12/13 July 2008.
2007's event turned out to be a success with the highest ever number of visitors over the weekend for our railway event. As always, the standard of the model railway exhibits was as high as ever and we would like to thank all those who gave up their weekend to make the event sucsh a success.
It's LISTERMANIA!!
This year will see a repeat of our successful Lister Railtruck Event which we previously held in 2004 and also several eons ago - no I can't remember which year it was either - about 1991 I think!

At the moment Graham Feldwick, from the Twyford Waterworks Trust (that's him in the picture) is contacting known owners of these wonderful machines and it is hoped that we shall have a large number of Lister Railtrucks on site for the weekend - hopefully the largest number ever to be seen in one place (well in preservation at any rate). Well we can dream can't we?
Come and join in
We are also looking for layouts and displays for 2008 and 2009 (and 2010 for that matter!) so if you would like to show off your layout, promote your society or come and sell things (railway and transport related please!) then please get in touch. Each year we welcome several new exhibitors and many of them become regular participants in our show.

We will again be running our Junior Modelling Competition and the details on a downloadable entry form are here.
