Rules There are many rules to read up on, please try to do this before you start playing. - Plate - Breaking
At the start of each tournament everyone will get a handicap based on their current score on the vipladder (9-ball) at the time of draw, these will be entered onto the players profile page. Then download
my tournie handicap calculater to work out what the games
are to be played to.
Players will be drawn into one of eight divisions. Each division will consist of five players. Players from a division will play players from the same division so each player will have four matches in the first phase. A win results in two points scored. Only the top player will go through to the next round. In the event of a tie situation at the end of the first phase, then you look at the game differneces to see where every finishes, but they are the same the winner of the match played between the top two players will go through. Second place in the division at the end of the first round will be drawn into a plate mini-tournament. Each match will be the first to 7 games. All games will
be played on Pro table settings.
Each match will be the first to 3 games. All games will be played on Pro table settings. This is a straight knockout tournament, quarterfinal, semi-final, final. Only the winner of the plate will score points (50). There will be
no handicaps for the plate.
This is a straight knockout phase. Each match will be the first to 9 games. All games will be played on Pro table settings. Points are
awarded to quarter-finalists (25), semi-finalists (50),
runner-up (100), winner (150).
Misreported matches and cheating For any unreported games in Phase 2 and the plate, a bye will be given into the next round unless you can prove you were trying to organise the game - send me the details. For phase 1, again you can send me the details but if this does not happen, this will result in a draw (1 point for each player). If you dont show up htough you will lose all games 6 -7. As you may or may not know, there has been some cheating and as this tournament is designed to involve everyone including non-registered Kali players, it may be possible for people to cheat. If anyone is caught cheating I will follow this up and this may result in players being kicked out. Ok now that VT2 is out there is no chance of cheating with traking, but there are still other ways to cheat and i'll have none of it! No scooping
the white ball, this is an illegal shot!!
When you break you must refrane from using the Amplify button. You maybe wondering who gets the break, in the knock out stages ( phase2, plate, and qualifing ) its the player whoes name is first will break. In the phase1 tit a bit different, the player with the biggest disadvantage breaks, if you both have the same handicap then the player whoes name is higher in the group will break. | |
