Organised Events

The club organises an open shoot each year on the first Sunday in August. The round shot is a Double American, and is a very enjoyable and popular event. This takes place at the recreation ground in London Road, Hassocks.

This year it will take place on Sunday 3 August 2003. If you are interested in entering, drop us an e-mail and we will send you an entry form or click below.

In addition to the normal events, we also run a 'have-a-go' stall at local fetes. This is a very good publicity exercise. We do not use the usual arrows and targets for safety reasons as the pitch spaces normally provided are not large enough. What we do use however are cutouts of Friar Tuck with an apple on his head. Rather an historical mixture! The apples are hinged, and the object, obviously, is to knock the apple off. The arrows are flu-flu's with a rubber point.

We have also hosted several company days, including American Express, and taken the Friar Tuck's to organised company family days.
