Frontpage 97/98 Support -- Update Note #1

Change of GENMAIL.CGI to COOLMAIL.CGI

SUMMARY

FastNet have replaced their genmail.cgi program for sending forms to E-mail addresses with a program called coolmail.cgi. This is an improvement over genmail and should be used with minimum additions needed to the original pages.

PROCEDURE

  1. Changing to Coolmail.cgi from Genmail.cgi

    Goto your page with the Form that needs to be changed over to Coolmail.
    Right Click on your 'Submit' Button and select Form Properties:

  2. To change the mail client.

    You will then enter the form properties box (as below), Select the radio buttons as shown below then click on options.jpg (956 bytes).

  3. You will then see a box as below.

    Type in the above line (hilighted) and then press OK.

  4. Next click on advanced.jpg (834 bytes) and then you will see the below box:

    Click on REMOVE until you have removed all your old settings for Genmail, then click on ADD.
    You will then see the below box:

    addinghiddenvalue.jpg (7424 bytes)

    Type in the names and values for the hidden values (for a list of hidden values for Coolmail click here). When finished press OK and the mail system should work.

NOTE: As of yet I haven't tried this program out. I will try it out today and it 'should' work. - Chris
